All The Things, In Between

Young, Growing, Unfinished

As we continue to indulge in all that this year has begun to offer, stepping into new seasons or ideas can be very exciting! While it comes with trials and tribulations, it's a great thing to remember that showing up and giving it your best is much more rewarding than doubts or perfection. Check out a few methods that have helped me!

A Strong Attendance > All Together

Transition seasons can be pretty strenuous. They are some of the hardest things to navigate through while keeping balanced. Well, balance would include your job or day to day activities such as hanging out with the girls. While trying to make time for everything and keep yourself grounded in the process, the act of Showing Up is the first and trickiest step.

These aren't the prettiest things to do but once you get through the "stuckness" of stagnation, it'll easily become part of your routine. Sometimes, the only thing that you have to do is get out of your own way! Personally, I am learning that more and more everyday. We are on our way to the strongest attendance!

Composure in Midst of A Storm

They say that the year of your twenties can be just as trivial as it is eventful. One day, you are graduating college and the next day you are picking out your bridesmaid dress for your sister's wedding! Whether you are navigating career pivots or financial learning curves, a new day can bring new decisions or stressors. This can cause friction in your life and cause you to ask yourself: "What am I going to do?" - Something that helped me through this is keeping composure. It's easier said than done but is definitely helpful when in the eye of a storm. Having a community of others that may be able to relate can also relieve some of the stress and provide clarity on your situation.

Not everything needs to be broadcasted, but sharing my journey with you all has been a great experience thus far. These are the times that are not appealing or attractive, they're often unseen. The best part is that you get through it, you gain stability, and pick out the perfect dress!

A Modern Resilience

When it comes to ways of decompressing from doing the work, this is where some self care can really kick in and do wonders. Recently, I have conjoined journaling, hot showers, chocolate cakes, and therapy to lighten the load a bit. It's important to remember that you're very deserving of taking breaks while evolving without guilt or shame. It's not a complete reinvention of self, it is adoption of new routines in the same body! Pausing is not a setback of progress. It's a time for rest, acceptance, and rejuvenation.

What are some of your favorite ways to embody modern resilience?

Yourself & Best Self

One more great thing to remember at a younger age is that you don't need to be fully healed. It is very rare that anyone is completely healed! During this phase of life, we'll go through hard times and learn different ways to overcome them. We don't have to fully commit ourselves to an everyday upgrade, sometimes just being is all that you have to do. As the days go by, you'll want to make sure that you're making the most out of them and not necessarily checking boxes.

Moving and growing forward can be a process, it's pretty helpful to be patient with yourself in that time! Your younger twenties are also a great period to have fun and enjoy your life as much as you can before further responsibilities. There's beauty in all angles!

All in all, there is no exact rulebook to this thing that we call life. We fill our days with experiences, learn from them, and grow! There's always a bright side to tough times and fun in the happier times.
