The Elegant Redefinition: Pace, Presence

A Modern Way of Learning!

The Shape of Unrushed Time

A still pace in time - a stop of rushed momentum.

The beginning of the year can be a wonder of things! Holidays are coming and going, bringing their fair share of joy, laughter, purpose for everyday. When swifting through these times, it is important that you find time to: stand still. While the hustle and bustle of it all can be at most, exciting or thrilling, you may forget to soak in every moment that you can! The steady pacing of your time ensures that you are staying in alignment with the present.

As it is said, we are not getting any younger ladies and gentleman.

The time is now to stop, stand still, and stay present!

Settling Into You

At my early twenties, I can confidently say that I have learned how to take my time in qualifying every step taken to take up space in my personal life.

What does it mean to take up space?

To confidently own who you are! If there is something that I learned, it is that the only thing that can hold you back is you. The sky is the limit once you open or expose yourself to those kinds of possiblities and stay committed to who you are meant to be. Through experience, I am now learning what it means to truly; Settle Into Me. It is a beautiful journey that is neverending. Have fun with it! If it is comfortable, that means that it is the right thing to do. At this time, make sure to step into you, settle into you, and stand into you. You are amazing!

A Natural Alignment

When the idea of performance falls away, you're left with yourself and the best ways that you like to show up for you. In my view, I always thought that performance just meant showing up as your best self, for friends, family, and loved ones. It can be the best thing because it requires you to set a standard for yourself! Putting that role into practice is a healthy way to naturally train yourself into becoming the best version of you. I am no professional at this thing called, life!

Showing up as your best self for you may equal sacrifices that are needed in order to shed old ways of doing things. To be transparent, I had a way of putting others before myself as a daily practice. That's pretty great until you begin to lose yourself in the process. Through trial and error, I have come to learn and understand that you have to find a healthy balance with caring for others as you care for yourself. You have to put yourself first in some situations, as selfish as it may seem. When evolving, you must be a bit more selfish for your health! Your loved ones will understand and want the best for you. Self-care is a great practice when taking baby steps through the journey!

Grace in the Everyday

In the book definition of the term Grace, it means "simple elegance or refinement of movement". Being a young woman and having moved out of my hometown area, it has been a true journey of holding the standard to my everyday movement and realm of choices. While not one single being on this earth is perfect, we are worth it! We're enough and trying everyday. That's more than enough to set as a standard of grace that you promise for yourself.

New areas or ideas can be intimidating, but with practice and consistency those trained ways of doing things will prepare you for the work that goes into the necessary dedication!

At Ease

The year ahead will bring a ruling of grace, peace, growth, and all of the goodies in between!

The motivation for change can create an expectation for constant change so make sure that you are making time for rest, alignment, and unrushed grace with every step.

Happy New Year! Stay warm out there!
